panels printed with photo-quality legends, logos and graphics. Increased demand has prompted
the company to double its capacity. The new equipment is slightly
effective than traditional silk screen and tampo methods. There are no expensive tooling costs. Set-up is easy and there is low wastage. This helps to make customisation more viable for low-volume orders. It is possible to print in full
colour CMYK up to 1,800 x 1,800 dpi. The technology is suitable for painted or anodised metal surfaces (and plastics) with all different kinds of textures. Hard UV ink provides excellent
scratch resistance; a clear lacquer is applied on top to give added protection. Simultaneous printing of colour and white speeds up production. UV LED curing improves consistency and saves energy. METCASE can print multiple panels or cases at once, reducing lead times still further. The maximum object height is 150mm. Digital printing also enables
different iterations to be created much more easily.

The new DIRAK height-adjustable door locking system from FDB Panel Fittings comprises knurled wheel adjustment devices, which offer quick set up for depth of cams or rod systems to suit varying door depths or gasket pull down requirements. The system allows specialist enclosure
and cabinet builders to simplify their component inventory and enables quick adjustment to ensure correct operation for optimum door sealing and security. The single point application fits
quarter-turn locks or latches and swinghandles, while the multi-point application works with quarter turns and swinghandles – where it enables tool-less
adjustment of rod actuators and rod guides to fit the correct door/frame depth.

The Eurotec caseframe family from Verotec is based on the KM6 subrack system, and is designed for applications that require standard 3U and 6U PCBs or modules to be housed in either a desktop, 19” rack mount or portable enclosure. Standard depths are 240, 360 and 480mm and backplane or DIN41612 connector rear extrusions can be specified. It is finished with stylish front trims and latching feet for desktop instrumentation use, fitted with standard 19” earpieces for rack mounting and the portable units have a locking carry handle. The top and bottom covers are readily removed for system building and servicing requirements. Three thermal management options
are available. For low power applications, the 3U and 6U units have unventilated top and bottom covers. 4U and 7U versions are fitted with additional ½U high ventilated covers that offer enhanced convection cooling and for high power applications, the 5U and 8U versions are fitted with a ½U ventilated top cover and a 1½U bottom cover with a front filter unit that accepts a fan tray for forced air cooling.
