Professor Arturo Mediano from the HF Magic Lab at the University of Zaragoza gave a practical demonstration of conducted emissions testing. Highlighting some classic problems when working with RF reference
designs, he showed how to minimise the effects of test equipment on experimental measurements.
A technical session gave practical insights into selecting pulsed and continuous- wave amplifiers, showing how to prioritise critical parameters such as spectral purity and ensure satisfactory performance with appropriate power consumption.

The frank views of the event’s closing panel underlined the advantages of being there and joining in; a unique opportunity to draw information from the dialogue between well-known industry experts, some of whom are also members of the CISPR sub- committees working on the next generations of specifications.
