he modular design of the new KiDAQ from Kistler Instruments makes unlimited channels and distributed
systems a reality whatever the application; industrial, laboratory, permanent installations and mobile. Engineers now have everything needed to complete any measuring task: a single integrated system that can be flexibly expanded at any time with additional measurement modules and units.
The new data acquisition system can be configured to
suit any application with a choice of portable and 19 inch rack housings that can accommodate up to 13 measurement modules each, and DIN Rail modules for industrial installations with any number of measurement modules and other components of a system. This flexibility allows users to configure a data acquisition system that best meets to their current and future needs. Nothing is made redundant ensuring a low cost of ownership without compromising system performance and capability.

transmission of energy, signals, and data all in just one connector. The modules can be assembled and disassembled easily without the use of tools to allow quick and error-free commissioning, in addition to the simple replacement of assemblies, saving both time and costs. Thanks to the hybrid configuration, the system can be used in a wide variety of applications, including plant construction and mechanical engineering, control cabinet construction, and also in energy generation plants.
As machines and plants become increasingly modular in their design and production, the connection technology
of revos Modular offers numerous advantages for manufacturers and operators. Designed to allow power supply, signal, bus, and fibre optic cables to be combined in one connector, revos Modular allows connectors to be configured entirely in line with individual requirements and to suit the application.

Customising CombiTac connectors just got easier with a new online configurator C
ombiTac connectors can house a very wide variety of contact types in a single casing. Simplifying this, choosing which contacts to use and where to place
them has become much easier with Stäubli's upgraded configurator tool. This intuitive online service can be accessed from any web browser, and enables
designers to quickly and easily build up a CombiTac connector to meet their precise requirements. Realistic 3D simulation shows how the connector will appear, enabling users to explore the final product and review assembly dimensions.
Modules can be chosen from a wide range of contact types including power, signal, data, thermocouple, coaxial,
fibre optic and bus connections, and even media such as pneumatics and hydraulics. Interactive graphical assistance is available throughout the configuration process. 3D STEP data files and parts lists can be downloaded to simplify the design process. A transparent view of the
housing enables easy monitoring of the cable connections. As an additional service, pre-assembled cables are available which allows for quick and secure installation.

HOPPE’s eHandle ConnectHome Incorporates ZF’s Energy Harvesting Technology
new eHandle ConnectHome from the German door and window handle manufacturer HOPPE using energy harvesting technology from ZF.
S The new window handle expands the product range at HOPPE as an entry-level
model to detect whether a window is open or closed. With ZF’s energy harvesting generator, the new RF window handle from HOPPE needs no batteries and is therefore easy to retrofit. By the rotational movement to open or close the window, the handle generates enough energy to send an RF signal. The position of the window handle will then be transmitted wirelessly to a central control unit which can be programmed, for example, to automatically regulate the heating to turn down if the windows are open.

Pyrometers for high temperatures and various fieldbuses F
luke Process Instruments extends its Thermalert 4.0 spot pyrometer series, adding new shortwave versions and various additional interface options. The
compact, extremely robust infrared thermometers provide noncontact, automatic temperature monitoring. Three new spectral models measuring at wavelengths of 1 µm, 1.6 µm, and 2.3 µm have been primarily designed for high-temperature applications and are particularly suitable for monitoring metal, steel, and glass. The full Thermalert 4.0 lineup covers measuring temperatures between -40 °C and 2300 °C and offers various different spectral models and focus distances.
All models are now available with connectivity options for Ethernet, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO, in addition to
analog or RS485 interfaces. Voltage can be supplied via Power over Ethernet (PoE). The Thermalert 4.0 series features an outstanding high maximum operating temperature of 85 °C. Users can therefore save costs by setting up many measuring points without cooling.
