With 24 variants in the U-Lite range, Ovia is offering a product that is suitable for every market and for numerous applications, for example warehouses, manufacturing facilities and car parks. They can be installed into walls and ceilings, or suspended. They come in standard, microwave sensor and emergency models, and in three different lengths - 1200mm, 1500mm and 1800mm. Each length is available in a single fluorescent lamp equivalent and a twin lamp equivalent output. Wattage ratings range from 21W to 72W Cool White (4000K) and they offer an LED lifetime of 50,000 hours (L70). Made from non-corrosive polycarbonate, each unit has an IP rating of IP65 and a tough impact

Luceco has supplied a confeconary company with LED energy saving lighng. Ferrara Candy operates 7 manufacturing plants located in the U.S. and Mexico, employing over 6000 people.


Ferrara has built a new facility in Mexico and Luceco was selected as the LED luminaire manufacturer as a result of satisfying Ferrara’s main lighting objectives : meeting the energy saving targets, provide a safely lit environment, ensure optimal lighting levels for processes at the facility and wellbeing of personnel within.


The luminaires selected included Eris, Climate and Spartan Linear. Eris is a modern and slim IP65 rated luminaire with a die-cast aluminium body and polycarbonate lens optic for optimum performance. Eris comes complete with a hook for suspension mounting and is at home in many industrial and commercial environments. Spartan is a hazardous area luminaire suitable for zone 1 and zone 2 conditions. Available in standard and emergency variants, 2500-5000 Lumens,


Spartan can be surface mounted to a wall or a ceiling plane. ATEX & IEC Ex approved; this machined aluminium robust linear luminaire uses special thermal management technology to allow an operation temperature range of -40° to 55°C. Climate is a robust LED IP65 rated linear luminaire ideal for food processing environments. Climate Extra offers an efficacy of 140 Llm/cW and up to 100,000 hours operational life on dimmable variants with increased performance for improved energy efficiency. An opal diffuser enhances the appearance and uniformity and a polycarbonate construction with stainless steel anti-tamper clips ensures a sturdy luminaire.

Luceco’s Contour LED luminaire was artistically installed in amongst timber beams to provide sympathetic energy saving lighting which enhanced the architectural features of the interior design of the facilities, the body of the luminaire displayed in Matt Black. Contour from Luceco is a linear luminaire providing individual or continuous runs of illumination suitable for many commercial environments. The LED lighting system consists of connectable modules offered in 600 mm, 1200 mm, 1500 mm and 1800 mm lengths that can be surface mounted, suspended or recessed. The Tech Bar required a more modernistic approach with Contour providing an architectural element to the design of the area with the


body of the luminaire displayed in Graphite Grey. Manufactured as a premium aluminium extrusion with high quality polycarbonate opal diffuser, micro prism or asymmetric optic distribution options, Contour has a full range of illuminated interconnecting modules as well as an integrated driver with quick electrical connectors for ease of installation..


To create an enhanced lit environment with the use of the area in mind, each installation required a different colour temperature output. The Tech Bar required a cool clean light at 4000K and the more relaxing space in the Break Out Kitchens, a warmer white at 3000K.

Zumtobel luminaires have made an important contribuon to the sustainability credenals of the new digital broadcasng studios and oce headquarters of BBC Wales.


The BBC Wales headquarters located in central Cardiff, is an impressive 21st-century style digital broadcasting house and contains workspaces for more than 1,000 people as well as radio and TV studios. For the reception area, SLOTLIGHT infinity, ONDARIA, VIVO and ARCOS luminaires have been installed. SLOTLIGHT provides a continuous vein of light and is available in a choice of lighting and control gear options that deliver a truly integrated, low energy solution. ONDARIA is a family of circular ambient luminaires with an ultra-thin profile, direct/indirect distributions and excellent detailing. Optical lens offerings include the Luminance- Reducing Optic (LRO) for office environments and soft Opal Optic for multiple applications.

Wiring and installation of the U-Lite is quick and easy using the piano type 5- pole push fit terminals and the fittings come supplied with anti-tamper stainless steel assembly clips and screws, allowing the installer to secure the unit to prevent others accessing it.
