Turnbull to the team as our Installation and Contracts Manager. With extensive experience in the humidity control industry, Colin is responsible for evaluating installation projects from the point of site visit, right the way through to delivering a completed project. He ensures streamlined communication between sub-contractors, customers and colleagues to ensure installation projects run seamlessly.

OMNIE ADDS AL HEX HEAT DIFFUSER TECHNOLOGY TO UFH SYSTEMS
O
MNIE, the award-winning UK underfloor heating specialist, will be incorporating the advanced AL HEX aluminium diffuser technology on all its foiled underfloor heating systems, as standard, with immediate effect. The patented AL HEX foil, with its trademark hexagonal patten, increases the
in-channel foiled surface area that is in contact with the warm water pipe. The result is greater heat output, faster heat transfer and a more even heat distribution across a floor area, plus it avoids the risk of damage due to heat ‘striping’. Striping is caused when heat in the warm water pipe doesn’t diffuse into the floor panel effectively and, instead, creates hot spots and hot lines on the floor surface finish. Prolonged exposure to striping can damage both the floor finish and the subfloor, particularly if the installer raises the temperature of the water to try and improve the diffusion. “AL HEX is a real step forward for underfloor heating particularly when the industry is moving away from
gas boilers and towards renewable heat sources,” says Brendan Hourican, OMNIE’s Managing Director. “Because it is so efficient at transferring heat, AL HEX works very well with lower water temperatures. This means it improves the performance of the underfloor heating, which is a huge benefit when the system is paired with a heat pump. Right now, homeowners want efficient heating. They want to feel the benefit of every kilowatt of energy they are paying for, to lower the cost of their heating and still stay warm in winter. The full range of Sangamo Timer Controllers, Thermostats, Programmable Thermostats and Programmers – which totals 30 individual products lines - is now available in a choice of silver, black, or white finish. The Sangamo offer can be broken down into four main product categories - Timer Controllers, Thermostats, Programmable Thermostats and Programmers – with a total of 15 products making up the comprehensive range. The Timers collection of products is designed for simplistic ON/OFF manual or scheduled control for heating and lighting applications. The range has been expanded with a total of three new products, each one introducing the addition of a fused spur switch for additional protection for high loads. The Thermostats range of products - designed for controlling heating system via an electronic sensor – now
totals five products. The Programmable Thermostat products are designed for controlling heating applications via an electronic sensor or programmed schedule, and ESP has added one new product to this range. All thermostat products have been upgraded and now offer TPI (Time Proportional and Integral) control for heating efficiency. In addition, the programable thermostats include an optimization feature; Optimum Start/Delay Start and Optimum Stop, for extra efficiency. The Programmers are designed for heating and hot water controlled independently across separate channels via a programmed schedule. A total of three products make up this range varying from 1-3 Channel options and including an optional service interval function to assist with Gas Safety Regulation compliance.
