Click Scolmore launches new Aquipp66 13A FCU with Passive RCD Protection

C

lick Scolmore has announced the launch of its latest outdoor wiring solution, the

Aquip66 13A fused connection unit (FCU) with passive RCD protection. Designed to meet the growing demand for robust and reliable external electrical installations, the new unit delivers secure and controlled power distribution while enhancing safety for both installers and end users. Engineered for use across a wide

range of outdoor applications, the 1-gang Aquip66 unit is suitable for powering garden lighting, outdoor equipment and fixed appliances. Its IP66-rated enclosure provides a high level of protection against dust and water, ensuring dependable performance in challenging weather conditions as well as indoor environments where durability is essential.

Built-in safety with passive RCD technology At the core of the product is a 13A FCU that enables safe and regulated power supply. The addition of passive RCD protection offers an extra layer of safety by continuously monitoring leakage currents and automatically disconnecting the power supply in the event of a fault. This function helps reduce the risk of electric shock and supports compliance with modern safety expectations. Manufactured with longevity in mind, the Aquip66 13A FCU RCD combines durable construction with

practical functionality. Its waterproof design ensures straightforward installation while maintaining the integrity of the enclosure in exposed locations.

Dependable power for external installations Backed by a five-year warranty, the introduction of the Aquip66 13A FCU with passive RCD protection reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering high quality electrical solutions that prioritise safety, performance and ease of use. The product has been developed to give professionals and end users confidence in outdoor power distribution without compromise. The Aquip66 range continues to deliver dependable, weatherproof solutions. For further information,

Unicrimp expands Q Crimp range with new White Grommet Strips

U

nicrimp, a Scolmore Group company, has announced the expansion of its Q-Crimp fixings range with the introduction of a new White Grommet Strip, further strengthening its offering for professional installers.

Following the successful launch of the product in black, the addition of a white option responds

directly to market demand and provides greater flexibility for a wider range of installation environments. Available in 3m, 5m and 10m lengths, this new product reflects Unicrimp’s ongoing commitment to developing practical, installer-focused solutions that meet the evolving needs of the electrical sector. An essential component for consumer unit installations, the premium white grommet strips have

been engineered for both durability and ease of use. Manufactured from a flexible yet hard-wearing material, they are designed to protect cables from sharp and abrasive metal edges, helping to ensure a safe and compliant installation. This makes them particularly suited to rewires and consumer unit replacements, where reliable cable protection is critical. The heavy-duty white grommet strip can be easily cut to the required length, offering installers a

convenient and efficient solution on site. unicrimp.com FERNOX INTRODUCES ITS NEW AND IMPROVED COMMERCIAL RANGE

ernox has launched a new range of air and dirt separators, vacuum degassers, side stream filters and additives, all of which are specifically engineered for commercial HVAC applications, to help extend the lifespan and improve the efficiency of heating and cooling systems. With products

suitable for retrofit and new build applications, Fernox is also able to draw on extensive experience and its own laboratory to assist in system diagnosis and selecting appropriate solutions. In line with the guidance in BSRIA BG50 and BG29, commercial heating and cooling systems in buildings such as hospitals, schools, universities, offices and public buildings must be protected from the damage caused by circulating debris, air in the system and microbiological contamination. Backed by more than 60 years’ experience in system protection, the Fernox commercial range includes all the high-quality devices and reliable chemical treatments required to address these issues effectively, and to provide continuous protection with minimal intervention. Designed to work optimally together, the range includes air, dirt and combi separators, vacuum degassers, side stream filters, automatic air vents and stainless steel dosing pots. Among them is the new CC1 Side Stream Filter Air & Dirt 90. Developed to provide high-performance

magnetic and fine particulate filtration, air removal, and a chemical dosing unit, it is suitable for commercial closed-loop systems up to 90,000 litres. The robust stainless steel device utilises three different methods to remove contaminants. A powerful magnet captures magnetic debris, and an air vent removes air that would accelerate corrosion. Crucially, its anti-microbial filter cartridges prevent bacterial contamination and capture non-

magnetic debris to ensure a robust, belt and braces approach to system protection. Helpfully, Fernox offers a range of micron sizes too - down to 0.5 microns depending upon the

condition and needs of the system. Finally, the integrated 5.5L dosing pot allows chemicals to be introduced quickly and safely without shutting down the system. Another key advantage of the CC1 Side Stream Filter Air & Dirt 90 is that the system can remain in

operation during servicing and maintenance, as the bypass it is installed on can be isolated while the captured debris is removed from the filter. This makes it ideal for buildings where downtime must be avoided. Also featuring in the range is the CF1 Magnetic Dirt Separator, which magnetically captures ferrous

debris and hydraulically separates non-magnetic sludge effectively. The range of devices also includes the CA1 Air Separator, a high-efficiency deaerator that continuously removes air and microbubbles from closed loop systems. There is also the CC1 Combi Air & Dirt Separator and CC1 Magnetic Combi Air & Dirt Separator, which

serve both functions. To remove dissolved and free gases from the system water there is also the CA1 Vacuum Degasser, a fully automatic solution that uses controlled vacuum conditions to effectively release entrained gasses. Rob Jacques Commercial Business Development Manager at Fernox said: “Based on six decades of

experience, we have created an enhanced range of commercial products that work hand-in-hand to prevent and treat corrosion, contamination and aeration to ensure system longevity, reduced costs and minimal disruption to commercial building occupants. The Fernox combination of products, specialist knowledge, and an in-house, UK laboratory to aid with system diagnostics, means we are ideally positioned to help customers select the solution and approach that is appropriate for their site.” Supplied in pack sizes suitable for larger systems, the Fernox commercial chemical range also includes some

of its most trusted formulations. This includes Protector F1 Inhibitor to prevent corrosion and limescale; Alphi-11 Antifreeze Protector for inhibitor protection in systems vulnerable to freezing; Protector + Filter Fluid F9 containing a dispersant to aid effective debris removal; and Biocide F7 to prevent microbiological contamination and biofilm formation in lower-temperature systems. Cleaner F3 is ideal for use as a pre commissioning cleaner, while Power Cleaner F8 is best suited for restoring heavily contaminated systems.
