Inceptor U-Lite – the new slimline LED luminaire from Ovia
FEATURE
Unicrimp introduces red and white fire- safe metal cable clips
U
nicrimp, part of the Scolmore Group of companies, offers an extensive range of cable accessories. The company has a vast range of 18th edition compliant fire-rated Metal Twin and Earth Cable Clips which include red and white options.
The 18th Edition wiring regulations stipulate that cable support systems must be constructed with materials that will withstand premature collapse caused by direct exposure to heat. There are no applications excluded – trunking, conduit and cabling fixed to surfaces of the building or attached to cable support systems must all have fire-resistant supports in place. Part of Unicrimp’s Q-Fire range, the fire-rated T&E Cable Clips are manufactured from zinc plated carbon steel and are available in two sizes – 1-2.5mm and 4-6mm – and in a choice of uncoated or with a grey PPA LSF coating. The LSF coating provides long term protection for metal clips, as well as added protection for the cable during and after installation. They provide installers with an expanded choice of fixing solutions, suitable across a range of applications and environments – helping them to satisfy the latest wiring regulations. T
he new Inceptor U-Lite from Ovia will join the existing, highly successful U-Lite luminaire and is designed to bring even more benefits to the installer. Inceptor U-Lite is a slimline, non-corrosive utility LED luminaire, designed to offer protection against the elements. With an integrated
diffuser and gear tray anchored to the base, the Inceptor U-Lite ensures a hassle-free installation. Features that are new to this Inceptor model include switchable CCT: 4000K, 5000K and 6500K and improved assembly. The gear tray and diffuser assembly can be disconnected and removed for lighter/ simple installation of the base, whilst multiple positions for the terminal block allows greater flexibility for retrofit installations. The luminaire offers emergency self-test as standard. Inceptor U-Lite comes in three different lengths 1200mm, 1500mm, 1800mm and each length is available in a single lamp and a twin lamp equivalent output. It is suitable for wall, ceiling or suspension mounting with adjustable fixing centres. Pre-fitted Anti Tamper clips allow the installer to screw the retaining clips so that others cannot open the luminaire without the use of a tool. The full range can be seen in the new Ovia Issue 4 catalogue which can be downloaded from the Ovia website. Watch the Inceptor U-Lite video here -

RINNAI’S HOT WATER STORAGE SOLUTIONS NOW IN ELECTRIC
R
innai, as an integral part of its H3 initiative, has designed and produced an electrical option in hot water storage units for commercial
applications. The Infinit-E range is fitted with 1 and 6 titanium elements ensuring a productive and sustained product life cycle. The Infinit-E range is available from 12kw to 72kw making all models suited towards a variety of applications in all commercial and larger residential settings. All electric cylinder models in the Infint-E range are manufactured with stainless steel providing added durability. Inclusion of stainless steel in the production process results in a lightweight model that can be easily transported and handled, excusing the need for heavy manual labour. Maximum weight of an empty Infinit-E model is
54kg. Quality manufacturing and design ensures that all Infinit-E models are durable and robust, minimal maintenance working lives supported by extensive and comprehensive warranties. All electrical elements can be fitted to a single-phase or three-phase supply should site limitations demand. Each contained element within the appliance range has its own controllable thermostat with a temperature range between 49 and 90 degrees Celsius. Fuse protection is applied to all elements eliminating the requirement for expensive sacrificial anodes due to the inclusion of stainless steel within the manufacturing process. The Infinit-E range of electrical water cylinders is available to purchase now – visit

Improved burner performance with electronic cam control
iello RS and RLS 310 to 610 ranges of burners with electronic cam control are proving increasingly popular with specifiers and end users that want to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Precise positioning of the servomotors afforded by electronic cam control improves air fuel ratio control and reduces heat loss through the flue. Additionally, improved control of boiler temperature with integrated PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) reduces boiler stop/starts, saving energy from purge losses, and maximises the potential for improved burner turndown ratio. Thermal stresses on the boiler are minimised by safe start-up of the plant from cold. A further advantage of electronic cam control is that it avoids the wear and tear that occurs with mechanical cams and linkages over time, thereby improving reliability and avoiding hysteresis. These Riello burner ranges are available for use with gas (RS) and dual fuel (RLS) and enable lower boiler NOx emission. In RLS models, electronic cam control enables separate fuel profiles for both fuels so that, for example, adjustments to the gas firing curve will not affect the oil firing curve. Additional features on Riello electronic cam burners include variable speed drives (offering up to 35% electrical energy saving), oxygen trim combustion control, external flue gas recirculation to reduce NOx emissions and remote control/monitoring.
