Chemical cleaning pumps for heating & cooling equipment
M
aintenance and building services engineers are often faced with the need to remove scale and debris from the
waterways of air conditioning and heating and cooling equipment to restore efficiency, or just to keep production going. Kamco have a range of chemical cleaning pumps designed to clean heat exchangers, boilers, chillers, condensors, air compressors and cooling waterways without the need to strip them. Savings of time and labour can be significant.
An air compressor supplier was able to reduce a typical week out of service to clean a compressor cooler down to just four hours using a Kamco Scalebreaker pump and chemicals. Stripping and cleaning a plate heat exchanger
can take a week and involve the need to replace expensive gaskets, whereas cleaning in place can be done with a Scalebreaker pump in less than one day, with no need for dis-assembly. SCALEBREAKER pumps have been designed to be easy to use by maintenance staff, although support and guidance from Kamco is available with every pump, and guidance notes are available for most applications. Pumps can handle acids, alkalis and detergents, and are built for a long, maintenance free life. During use chemicals are contained in the hoses and tank, keeping operators away from fumes and splashes. Pumps incorporate a unique flow reversing device which enables the direction of circulation to be instantly reversed, giving quicker and more effective descaling and flushing. All units are designed for portability having integral 200mm wheels. Even the largest model, the C210 with 125 litre tank, can be lifted by one man.

Innovative suspension system grips construction industry
U A
prefabricated suspension system solution that offers no cutting, no mess and importantly no stress, is fast becoming the system of choice for contactors industry wide. Fast Trak by Gripple, has become an important tool in driving efficiencies, namely speed and
ease, in the installation of suspending cabling and pipes. Innovate enhancements have been made to the vertical track and horizontal bracket system to increase flexibility and versatility during the installation process. Because the system is supplied in a choice of prefabricated lengths, there is no need to cut onsite,
negating the need for a hot works permit and specialised tools. The new bracket innovation can be used in any orientation. Allowing use of standard channel products and accessories as well as its unique quarter turn accessories to increase flexibility. There is a suspension point guide, providing faster and safer alignment of brackets as well as a pioneering four-way latch which can be used in any orientation, all providing a mess free, stress-free installation solution. Advancements made to the track include a ladder style, this allows brackets to be installed in increments of 10mm meaning specified heights can be kept with minimal effort, also enabling the tiering of brackets, to increase the number of services per run. The new manufacturing technologies developed mean that the ladder track is now curved and can be snapped or bent providing a neat and tidy finish with minimal to zero waste all while delivering increased track rigidity and load ratings. Sales of Fast Trak have increased globally thanks to the uniqueness of the system. It comes into its
own when working at heights and in tight spaces providing a highly efficient suspension solution, without compromising on performance and strength. To find out more visit our website.

range of
energy-saving LED bulkheads has been designed with the installer in mind, offering convenience and speed of installation as their key attributes. The range
currently comprises the standard EVO bulkhead, EVO ORB, EVO Slim and EVO Deco XL. They all benefit from a fast-fit twist and lock installation mechanism and they feature a tri-colour CCT switch integrated onto the LED Board, making it easy to switch from 3000k, 4000k and 6000k. The standard IP65-rated EVO bulkhead is available in black and white and in 12W and 16W versions. A
popular feature with contractors is the benefit of four 20mm conduit knockouts, which enables surface conduit work directly into the luminaire. The IP65-rated EVO ORB bulkhead is a stylish model with larger dimensions – 320mm diameter and
113mm depth – and is available in 12W and 16W versions. The IP65-rated EVO Slim has a depth of just 57mm making it ideal where a subtle solution may be
sought, or where space is tight. EVO DECO XL is a 20W, IP54-rated bulkhead with a 470mm diameter and 96mm depth. Typical applications will be larger, more open areas to avoid the need for a greater number of smaller fittings to meet the required light levels. All EVO models are available in Standard, Microwave, Emergency and Microwave Emergency. The Microwave versions feature a step dim function where it steps to 10% or 30% in no presence areas. Most competitor products would require dimmable control gear to provide this option for corridor function type. All EVO Emergency bulkheads also feature Lithium ion batteries in the emergency packs. Each EVO model comes with a five year warranty.

Unicrimp adds Metal Cable Cleats to Q-Fire range
nicrimp has added a range of Metal Cable Cleats to its growing Q-Fire portfolio of fire-rated cable accessory products. The new Metal Cable Cleats meet BS 7671 (18th Edition) requirements and are designed to
prevent cables from premature collapse during a fire and in doing so, to keep emergency services and the public safe. The 18th Edition wiring regulations stipulate that cable support systems must be constructed with
materials that will withstand premature collapse caused by direct exposure to heat. There are no applications excluded – trunking, conduit and cabling fixed to surfaces of the building or attached to cable support systems must all have fire-resistant supports in place. Unicrimp’s fire-rated black Metal Cable Cleats are available in 14 different size options suitable for cable
sizes from 5mm up to 50mm. The key feature of the product is an oval fixing hole which allows for cable diameter tolerances. To install the metal cable cleat, the electrician just needs to bend the cleat around the cable and fix in place to the designated wall.
