EM530 and EM540 Energy Analyser Precision and accuracy in a single meter
F
rimley, UK, 21st January 2022 – Controls and Automation specialist, Carlo Gavazzi has extended their product offering by launching the EM530 and EM540 energy analyser, helping you manage and reduce your energy usage with easy to install and accurate metering.
The EM540 can be installed in low-voltage switchboards with a rated current up to 65 A (direct
connection) whilst the EM530 can be installed in systems with a rated current up to 10 kA (via 5A current transformer) to monitor the energy consumption, main electrical variables and harmonic distortion. Both energy analyser’s are housed in a 3-DIN module and offer outstanding ease of use, performance
and precision measuring of imported and exported energy class 0.5S for EM530 and class 1 for the EM540. Up to 3 energy meters can be displayed on a single page with 1 kWh resolution, 3x8 digit backlit LCD data display and integrated touch keypad. The meter is provided with pulse or alarm output Modbus RTU communication port or M-bus output and is suited to active energy metering, cost allocation and dual tariff management. A selection of variables can be programmed to display providing for active and reactive energy measurement, options include: system and phase variables such as kW, kvar, kVA, VLL, VLN, PF, Hz, kWdmd, kWdmd peak; phase variables including kW, kvar, kVA, VLN, A, PF. Energy measurement: kWh and kvarh (imported/ exported); kWh+ by 2 tariffs; kWh per phase. The EM500 series of meters are also available as MID certified. The European Union’s Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) is designed to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of meters. This is particularly significant for building owners with multi-occupancy models where individual tenants
are billed via sub-metering. Meters are designed to be fully tamper-proof when correctly fitted with password protection and sealable or lockable.

EZE have completely upgraded their control panels for smoke and
heat extraction systems. Control units are the brain and the power supply of the smoke and heat extraction systems in a building. The new THZ N4 and THZ
Comfort replace the previous versions and offer a more powerful power supply, increased connectivity and easier installation. In addition to extracting
smoke from staircases the THZ N4 and THZ Comfort can also be used for smaller smoke and heat extraction systems such as a foyer and are suitable for use on new buildings and retrofitting. In large event venues with smoke extraction installed in the roof or with a machine smoke extraction system the THZ N4 is particularly suited for operating fresh air drives such as GEZE’s RWA K 600. Both versions have received a hardware and capability upgrade; the more powerful power supply
enables an increased output of 4.5A from the 3.4A in previous models which broadens the panel’s specification possibilities and allows more drives to be connected. The motor line connection has also been upgraded to a spring level motor terminal to allow for
easier installation and both can now be interfaced with the GEZE ST 220 service terminal for quick and easy commissioning. Both control panels have a compact and attractive design; the THZ N4 has a plastic housing in white
whilst the THZ Comfort has a robust metal housing in orange. Andy Iredale, National Sales Manager for Automatic Doors and Window Control, said “These new
control units offer even more options for smoke and heat extraction as more drives can be connected due to the more powerful power supply which in turn allows more options on where they can be used’” To find out more about the THZ N4 or THZ Comfort visit GEZE’s website or for a brochure email info.

he refurbishment of the historic Rusacks St Andrews hotel, which overlooks Scotland’s hallowed Old Course Links and is a monument to golf and its founders, has benefited from Waterloo’s stylish, high quality air distribution products.
Occupying an iconic 1800s building, the hotel is steeped in golfing history. After being acquired by AJ
Capital Partners for their Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts collection, the original 1887 hotel has been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard with the addition of 44 rooms and 18, the stunning rooftop restaurant and bar. The hotel’s guestrooms, which have taken inspiration from the local golfing history and surrounding landscape and coastal positioning, have been fitted with Waterloo’s Airline Linear Bar Grilles (ALM), wall- mounted Exhaust Grilles (3HF) for return air to the fan coil units and Exhaust Valves (VB) for the en-suites. For the hotel’s inspiring collection of diverse restaurants & bars and reception areas, Waterloo’s CS-F continuous Linear Slot Diffusers were selected to provide optimum indoor air quality and comfort for guests and staff. The external fresh air intake and exhaust system is delivered by Waterloo’s YG-A Small Format Fixed
Blade External Louvres, which are ideal for systems where space is at a premium. Crucially for a project where presentation is all, Waterloo was able to supply these lightweight, weather resistant louvres in a finish matched to the RAL7016 anthracite grey walls.

ombat Heating Solution, Europe’s leading developer and manufacturer of energy efficient radiant and warm air heating systems, include CoRayVac continuous radiant tube heating.. The continuous CORAYVAC system is an excellent way to maximize heat distribution to virtually
eliminate hot spots and provide the utmost in comfort. The combination is gentle even heat results in one of the most efficient and effective gas-fired, low intensity, Radiant Heating systems in the industry today. CORAYVAC radiant heaters can provide even heat distribution from a vacuum design with uniform tube
temperatures. CE design certified, the complex burner box design includes a protective enclosure allowing minimal heat exposure to valuable electric controls. Available in natural gas or propane gas, the burner is equipped with a fully automatic, three-try, 100% shut-off, direct spark ignition module. The new deign offers a deep dish, wide parabolic design reflector with 12 surfaces that reflect 100%
of the infrared energy that it received from the heat exchanger tube directly to the floor, resulting in an outstanding heat efficiency factor. This custom designed system can provide an unlimited number of design options. In addition, multiple
burners per pump result in reduced building penetrations and installation costs. Visit our webste to find out more.
