PROCESS LEVEL RADAR FEATURES 1MM ACCURACY

V

EGAPULS 64 non-contact radar features an increased precision of

1mm, making it one of the most accurate non contact liquid level process radars on the market. The sensor has already proven its capability in focusing, ability to handle condensation and build up, operation through isolation valves, down long nozzles or through windows, as well as working in agitated vessels. With a measuring range up to 30m, VEGAPULS 64 is maintaining world-class status - from its debut over 2 years ago, to being the fastest growing new non contact level technology for process level applications. Contact VEGA or come to their exhibition stand L5 at CHEMUK for a live demonstration of its capabilities.

for Rion instruments since 2001 and most major manufacturers’ instrumentation since 2009. Operations Manager, Kiran Mistry says having our laboratory based in Milton Keynes at ANV’s HQ means customers do not have to send equipment outside the UK for calibration. As a result, we are able to offer a 5 day turnaround and inconjunction with this, the customer is kept informed throughout the calibration process negating down- time, potential loss of revenue whilst at the same time providing assurance and peace of mind.

DEPENDABLE ENTRY LEVEL BENCHTOP THERMAL TESTING

T

he A35sc Benchtop Test Kit from FLIR Systems has

been designed for engineers and scientists who want to know exactly where to make thermal measurements and trust their findings every time. Unlike thermocouples or spot pyrometers, the A35sc allows you to measure thousands of temperature points across your target and get reliable data in seconds. Together with the kit’s lens choices and advanced analysis software, the A35sc kit is the most dependable temperature measurement solution for industrial and R&D labs.

MAINTENANCE-FREE DC UPS MODULES FOR DIN RAIL MOUNTING SuperCaps as maintenance-free energy storage

www.flir.co.uk

NV Measurement Systems (UKAS Laboratory 0653) have been providing Calibration Services

an intelligent charging and control electronics. All components are housed in a robust aluminum chassis with a DIN rail bracket for fast DIN rail mounting in control cabinets.

Unlike batteries, which store energy by the detour of a chemical reaction, SuperCaps are based on electrophysical principles and are charged and ready for use within a very short time, operate in a wide temperature range and convince with high current-carrying capacity, power density and reliability. Due to the high cycle stability of more than 500,000 charge and discharge cycles, DC UPS systems with SuperCaps are practically maintenance-free and have a particularly long service life. For the supplied system, this means an increase in long-term availability while at the same time minimizing maintenance. The high-quality SuperCaps are fully charged in a maximum of 60 seconds and designed for fanless 24/7 continuous operation in the extended temperature range of -20 to +70 °C.

wo new DC UPS compact modules from Bicker Elektronik (Donauwoerth / Germany) ensure the uninterruptible power supply of DC loads such as low-power embedded

IPCs, gateways, motors, sensors, actuators or cameras in the field of industrial control, process and automation technology, medical and laboratory applications as well as safety equipment. For protection against voltage fluctuation, brownout, flicker or power failure, the modules UPSIC-1205D (12 VDC / 5A) or UPSIC-2403D (24 VDC / 3A) are equipped with ultracapacitors (so-called SuperCaps) as maintenance-free energy storage and have

In normal operation, the C-controlled system electronics of DC UPS modules UPSIC- 1205D / UPSIC-2403D pass the input voltage, reduced by a voltage drop of 0.3 V / 0.2 V (@ full load), to the output. At the same time the SuperCaps are charged and the voltage thresholds at the input are monitored.
