New dew-point transmitter for compressed air quality Michell Instruments has launched a new fast-responding dew-point
transmitter for compressed air quality: the SF82. In compressor rooms temperatures can easily reach +50 °C, while measurements of dew points below -60°C are required. Recognising this challenge, Michell’s engineers designed the SF82 to operate effectively in these specific con- ditions. The new moisture transmitter uses the PST Group’s thick-film meas-
urement technology coupled with microcontroller electronics to provide accurate and stable measurements. As well as an ultra-fast response to moisture changes, the dew-point sensor has an accuracy of ±2 °C dew point. It is suitable for use in all types of industrial dryers: refrigeration dryers,
membrane dryers and absorption dryers. Because compressed air is a ubiquitous utility, the moisture sensor has applications in a wide range of markets including medical and surgical air, breathing air, plastic injection moulding as well as compressed air used for instrumentation. The sensors come calibrated to one of four standard measurement
ranges to cover the requirements of industrial dryers in various applica- tions. Non-standard ranges are also available on request to ensure com- plete flexibility. Visit Michell Instruments on stand 72 at Sensors and Instrumentation Live to find out more.

RHEINTACHO sensors for detecting, recording, measuring and controlling rotational speed and linear movement
RHEINTACHO sensors for detecting, recording, measuring and
controlling rotational speed and linear movement are the benchmark for the industry in quality and reliability. Our range of sensors includes 1 and 2 signal hall sensors of all sizes and different connection options. Our sensors are produced and tested in Germany and extensive development processes and thorough testing ensure long-term performance. Most sensors are suitable for specific applications and are developed together with our customers to best fit their requirements. The newest trend in our development of sensors is moving us toward multi-functionality,
i.e.
introducing sensors which not only measure rotational speed, but also detect temperature. One sensor for 2 functions. The advantages of such multi-functional sensors help our customers save money and reduce complexity of their own systems. On top of sensors, RHEINTACHO is a leading manufacturer of both
portable and stationary industrial stroboscopes. The newest development is
another high-performance handheld device with an auto-
synchronisation function to the speed of the moving object. Our family of tachometers, including eddy current tachometers and
handheld mechanical, optical and digital tachometers is quite extensive offering many different options. Call us for more information.
