TR-Electronic will introduce the SIL shaft encoder CD_582+FS, the smallest absolute multi-turn encoder for applications according to SIL3, at Sensors & Instrumentation on stand C9. The standard industrial sized 58mm housing contains two completely


independent multiturn detections including a safety detection and connection to PROFINET/PROFIsafe, providing cross-checked position signals without battery-buffered counters. All this functional safety in the mounting space of a standard 58mm encoder. Certified according to current standards (IEC 61508 / EN 62061, EN ISO 13849 -1), the development and manufacturing processes of TR-Electronic ensure high reliability of safety relevant products. The current


Machinery Directive requires that a detailed assessment of system and process safety are provided. Influences on the remainder of the operating process, the user and the environment must also be taken into account. The safety requirements that
