TODAY’S WEIGHT CALIBRATION SOLUTION
Testing-laboratory landscapes are shifting. In addition to implementing new capabilities, laboratories need to improve productivity without sacrificing outcomes. This means optimising labour-intensive workflows, improving time-per-unit processing and maximising right-first-time ratios. Mass calibration is a time-consuming process that can be greatly
improved with the right management software – for example, Mettler Toledo’s user-friendly MC Link software. MC Link: supports and enhances your entire calibration workflow; eliminates manual transcription, a major source of errors; reduces time-per-calibration by up to 60 per cent; reduces overall workflow duration by up to 70 per cent; ensures calibration quality through consistent handling; enhances throughput by managing up to four comparators; and provides flexibility with process guidance in five languages MC Link also provides flexible data management. The onboard
database can help you manage references/standards, correct for air buoyancy and perform uncertainty calculations. All results and reporting can be presented in .txt or .xls formats. MC Link is compatible with all Mettler Toledo mass comparators..

THERMAL IMAGING CAMERA FOR SMARTPHONES
FLIR Systems has launched the FLIR ONE Pro LT, a new lower price point thermal imaging attachment for smartphones in the FLIR ONE Pro series. The FLIR ONE Pro LT features many of the professional-level tools and advanced thermal image quality that define the FLIR ONE Pro series. Powered by the FLIR Lepton thermal microcamera
core, the FLIR ONE Pro LT builds on the advanced features of the FLIR ONE Pro. Key tools include FLIR’s patented MSX image enhancement, which combines the thermal and high-definition visible camera images to produce crisp, detailed images that are easy to interpret. All FLIR One Pro models feature FLIR’s MSX and VividIR video signal processing technology to deliver improved thermal image quality and clarity. Additionally, the patent-pending OneFit camera connector allows users to adjust the device to attach to their smartphone through many popular protective cases. FLIR is also releasing an updated version of the FLIR ONE App, which
includes tools such as multiple spot temperature meters, custom onscreen temperature tracking regions, helpful tips for problem solving and use-cases. Smartwatch compatibility with the Apple Watch and select Android smartwatches provides the ability to stream live thermal imagery to see around corners and take images or video from your device. “Since FLIR first introduced the FLIR ONE line of thermal cameras for
smartphones in 2014, the product has evolved to serve the unique needs of a broad set of professionals, providing an easy-to-use and affordable thermal camera,” said Frank Pennisi, president, Industrial Business Unit at FLIR. “The FLIR ONE Pro LT represents the next stage of the product evolution by placing pro features, such as VividIR, into the hands of more professionals at a more affordable price.”

PORTABLE CALIBRATOR MEASURES UP TO 10,000 BAR
With the CPH7000 portable process calibrator, high-pressure measuring instruments can now also be tested in the field. This multifunction instrument is the first hand-held from WIKA that records measured values of up to 10,000 bar. For such measuring tasks, the portable calibrator uses the WIKA
CPT7000 high-pressure sensor as an external reference. Its rupture-proof, thin-film cell is not welded. It is inserted tightly into a tapered pressure channel and is thus also insensitive to dynamic pressure profiles. Through the combination with this sensor, the already broad range of
applications for the CPH7000 is expanded even further. The calibrator is a portable multifunction instrument with an integrated electrical module, a hand pump to generate test pressures up to 25 bar and a high- performance data logger. In addition to the calibration of process transmitters and pressure gauges, the same instrument can fulfil test tasks for the measurands of temperature, voltage and current. The safety-related quality of the CPH7000 is also accredited
internationally through the CSA “Safety” approval. WIKA

TWIN DISTRIBUTOR ON SNAP- IN MINIATURE CIRCULAR CONNECTOR FAMILY
binder has made an addition to its popular snap-in 720 Series of miniature circular connectors. The new twin distributor – a single male connector into two female connectors – will prove a welcome addition among those designers and installers who need to use miniature circular connectors in today’s machine building and automation applications. The binder 720 Series is made
up of low-cost plastic bodied connectors designed with a snap-in locking mechanism and protected to IP67 when mated. binder designed the 720 Series for use in applications where a simple waterproof connection is needed in harsh environments. The new twin distributor features three and five gold plated contacts
rated up to 7A at 250V (5A at 125V). binder 720 Series connectors come in black as standard but binder
can supply other colour coded versions - red, blue and green if required. Medical grade versions in RAL 9002 are also available. The cable connectors are field attachable, have solder bucket termination and can be mated in-line for an extension piece or coupled with the solder bucket or dip solder panel receptacles. Two metre single-ended overmoulded cable versions are also
available on request in all pin configurations. binder
