TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION ADVERTORIAL

Safe High Pressure Measurement up to 5000 bar! T

High-reliability outdoor cabinets and shelters

Intertec - the composite GRP material expert. Intertec has developed special fabrication techniques for creating tough and durable cabinets and shelters for harsh outdoor operating environments. We employ composite sandwich constructions with inner and outer GRP skins enclosing cores of insulating PU foam (or mineral wool if long fire resistance times are required). This combines strength and rigidity with a high degree of environmental protection. Three standard forms of cabinet and shelter provide platforms for a very broad range of outdoor equipment needs. Our heritage has allowed us to develop the complete service for remote and outdoor-based equipment including:

A

* all-weather enclosures, cabinets and shelters * a huge range of accessories (heaters, ventilation, mounting...)

* design and manufacturing support for application- specific solutions

IEPE Signal Conditioner T

he SC4601 is a new low noise IEPE Signal Conditioner from KDP Electronic Systems. Featuring

battery operation, the SC4601 provides the constant current sensor power and a fault indication for the sensor. Front panel selectable gains of x1, x10 and x100 and a selectable low pass filter are also featured. Indicators show the gain range selected and when the filter is selected. The internal battery is a standard Li- ion type which when fully charged will provide in excess of 8 hours of operation. A battery low indicator warns when to recharge and should the battery be discharged to low, the unit automatically turns off. Housed in a rugged aluminium case and with standard BNC connectors it is an ideal choice for either bench or portable applications.

TECHNOMET - Advanced New Instrument Enclosures T

ECHNOMET is available in eight standard sizes (ranging from 75 x 225 x 200 mm to 150 x 350 x 275 mm) and in two standard colours

light grey or anthracite. All sizes are available with or without a tilt and swivel carry handle bar. The stylish diecast front and rear bezels fit flush in the case body. Unique front and rear snap-on trims hide the front panel and case fixing screws, giving a modern screw- free look to the housings. PCBs can be fixed to M3 mounting pillars in the base, or clip-in

anti-vibration guides in the chassis. Ventilation holes are provided in the base and rear panels. All panels are fitted with M4 earth studs for electrical continuity. Non-slip ABS feet are supplied fitted (with tilt legs on desktop versions). Anodised aluminium front panels are ordered separately. Prices start at £73.

TECHNOMET can be supplied fully customised to customer requirements including special sizes. METCASE Enclosures

Conductivity Monitoring System T

o meet conductivity control needs in online water quality and process applications, Sensorex has

introduced the Sensorex SensoPro Toroidal Conductivity Monitoring System. The system combines a Sensorex TCS3020 probe, capable of reliable conductivity measurements in even the harshest of environments, with the company’s new EX2000RS transmitter, featuring Modbus communication for robust system integration. Monitoring with SensoPro can prevent scaling and corrosion, reduce excessive water usage, and optimise processes in a range of applications including cooling tower water control, wastewater treatment, brine analysis, desalination, chemical processing, and other harsh or high conductivity environments. The TCS3020 probe used in the SensoPro system

measures conductivity using toroidal sensing technology, which is more stable and reliable compared to traditional contacting conductivity sensors. Toroidal conductivity sensors do not cause polarisation, do not become fouled, and rarely require maintenance. This design, along with the TCS3020’s rugged Noryl-body, reduces maintenance and increases reliability, resulting in more cost-effective operation over time than contacting sensors.

Vibration monitoring made easy C

he HP1100 Series of ultra high pressure transducers and transmitters takes away the worries of dealing with very high pressures safely. Designed to perform in demanding environments, The HP1100 Series from ESI Technology

will consistently maintain accurate performance whilst sustaining high durability. The wetted parts and diaphragm are machined from a single piece of titanium alloy which means no weld joints and therefore high pressure integrity and overload capacity and with operating ranges up to 5000bar, the Silicon-on-Sapphire sensor technology ensures a high performance level even with high overpressures.

ost effective sensor from ifm electronic is simple to use Vibration level can always indicate the health of a system, so a

simple way of keeping an eye on the vibration is a boon to any operator. The VK vibration monitor from ifm electronic monitors the overall vibration condition of machines and assets, as defined by the international standard ISO 10816, and it does so continuously.

This

cost-effective solution offers the chance to check the condition of assets that might otherwise be neglected due to the cost of traditional monitoring. ifm’s VK sensor measures the root mean square vibration

velocity on a non-rotating component surface, and this is simple to select using the dial on the sensor which is calibrated in both mm/s and inches/s. It is also a simple matter to set a time delay using the other dial. If the acceleration continues to be exceeded beyond the selected time limit, the unit alarms via a switched output.
