High-Precision Fluxgate Magnetometers B

artington Instruments offers a range of single and three axis fluxgate sensors, power supplies and data acquisition

units for low magnetic field measurements. The range includes sensors that can measure field levels up

NEW COMMUNICATION PROCESSOR FROM HBM OFFERS AN INTELLIGENT SOLUTION!

exclusively designed for use with the widely acclaimed MGCplus Data Acquisition System. Successor to the CP22 and CP42, the updated CP52 which features built in intelligence, comes with a variety of flexible functions which offers users added value, such as two native interfaces. This enables users to utlise one of the interfaces for data acquisition and the other to drive the control system, for example, by a User Datagram Protocol (UDP). Featuring improved connectivity and flexibility, further improvements to the update also mean that 512 measurement channels can now be connected to the CP52, as opposed to the previous maximum, which were only 256. Measurement data can also be recorded on a standard USB stick for additional data security. The new CP52, which features synchronisation based on the Precision Time Protocol (PTP), also means that no matter what amplifier is used in the same measurement project, with the MGCplus, all are perfectly synchronised.

BM is pleased to introduce its new CP52 Communication Processor (CP), which has been

to ±2mT and frequencies up to 12kHz, with noise levels down to 4pT. Cryogenic and vacuum compatible magnetometers are also available. The power supplies and data acquisition units are designed

to optimise the performance of Bartington magnetometers. These include analogue and digitising units, and power supplies handling up to 10 sensors. Applications include compass safe distance testing, ambient field monitoring for EMC compliance for fields up to

5kHz, remanent magnetisation measurements, and field uniformity checks during electro- and superconducting magnet manufacture. A range of Helmholtz Coil systems is also available. Typically these are used in laboratories to create stable and

homogenous magnetic fields for magnetic instrument calibration and testing. Bartington

Alicat Mass Flow and Pressure Instruments Now Offer EtherCAT Protocol

PLCs for industrial automation can now connect Alicat devices with the high-speed and robust EtherCAT protocol. In the chemical, medical, manufacturing and power industries, Alicat

A

instruments rapidly and precisely monitor and control critical process parameters. The speed and reliability of Alicat devices are particularly well suited to vacuum coating processes, such as Atomic Layer Deposition and Chemical Vapour Deposition. All of the mass flow or pressure controller’s data, including: mass flow, volumetric flow, pressure, temperature, selected gas calibration, setpoint, and totalised

flow can be output to a central PLC running a compatible automation protocol. Users may also change setpoint or gas selection, and issue other commands remotely.

IP65 Rated Toilet Alarm Kit Announced B

www.alicat.com

licat Scientific’s line of mass flow, pressure and liquid instruments can now be configured with the EtherCAT protocol. Users of Beckhoff

aldwin Boxall has announced the availability of IP65 rated toilet alarm

products. Fully tested and certified, users can connect the units to the manufacturer’s four-way toilet alarm panel or one of their popular EVC systems – Omnicare or Care2.

The new IP65 rated disabled toilet alarm products are ideal for installation in areas that are unsuitable for traditional style units; such as shower rooms, wet rooms and other places where moisture and humidity are present.

There are four products in the range: a ceiling pull cord, reset button, call button and call & reset point. The units, available separately, are designed so that they can be combined with the UK manufacturer’s standard toilet alarm products. This makes it possible for installers to fit the IP65 rated items where required, such as the pull cord and reset button in a shower with a standard overdoor light outside the room.

When connected to one of Baldwin Boxall’s four way control panels (or EVC system) the user will have a fully BS8300 compliant toilet alarm system – including the ‘caller reassurance’ facility. The systems are also monitored with any detected fault being reported back to the control panel.

The new products are believed to be the first of their kind to market and provide a long-awaited solution. Users of standard toilet alarm kits have historically faced the problems of failed units in humid areas with frequent replacements or inoperative systems. These new products will be welcomed as they will provide a long term solution – saving valuable time and money.

High Temperature Vibration Sensor

W

ilcoxon’s side-exit 712E/CC712E is a high temperature charge output sensor with an integral cable and is

operable to 260° C. When monitoring machinery in extremely high temperature environments, high performing equipment is required to ensure data accuracy. The 712E/CC712E system consists of the 712E accelerometer that connects to the CC712E charge amplifier via the integral stainless steel braided cable. Using this system allows the temperature-sensitive electronics (charge converter) to be installed away from the sensor in a lower temperature area. The 712E high temperature sensor is ATEX certified for usage in explosive atmopheres when used with the CC712E charge amplifier.
