OPLA, one of the leading brands in the enclosure technology sector, has announced an extension to its market- leading BoPad enclosure range with a series of control console versions with an optional small VESA fitting. BOPLA’s BoPad compact enclosure range offer an attractive, contemporary design and are widely used for mobile, hand-held devices and provide simple integration of membrane keypads, touch screens and displays.

The new console variant features an angled operating surface with installation options for industry-standard 4.3” to 10.1” touch displays, making an eye-catching, highly functional operating terminal for use on a table, desk, workbench or wall.

Responding to customer feedback the new BoPad consol enclosure systems feature increased height to accommodate electronics and versions with a square base area. Integrated holders for the direct mounting of current Raspberry Pi single board computers are now available and a small VESA fitting can be

specified on all versions of the enclosure range. The VESA mount is an industry standard mounting system defined by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) for attaching HMI devices, flat-panel displays, TVs and monitors to wall mounts or stands.

The new BOP 7.0 PQ and BOP 10 BoPad console variants are based on the existing BOP 7.0 and BOP 10.1 BoPad enclosures. Their higher shape profile provides more space for the installation of electronic components. The new design has a greater angle for the operating surface, improving operator comfort. In addition, side-mounted recessed grips make it even easier to handle the BoPad enclosures. The rear panel is positioned further back, increasing the mechanical protection of interfaces. As with all the hand-held and console enclosures in the BoPad range, the new models also have

a recessed area in the lid for the integration of membrane keypads and touch screens. A polished frame creates a high-quality appearance and protects the operating surface. All BoPad enclosures provide protection class IP40 as standard. This can be increased to a maximum of IP65 at any time by the use of optional seals in four colours (black, white, signal red and signal blue). All BoPad enclosures are supplied in two colours (black or white). In addition, and especially for BoPad hand-held enclosures BOPLA offers as an option-coloured impact protection in black, signal yellow, signal red and signal blue. As always, BOPLA can provide special colours on request for enclosures and impact protection.
