ardex customers are in all industries that need to stock and

retrieve, from refrigerated products, fast moving SKU’s to large heavy parts. Kardex focuses on enabling warehouse operators to spread investment costs over time, to move certain parts of the overall inventory into the automated solutions, support staff and analyse the experience over time to determine time and labour savings. With a need to remain competitive, Kardex machines deliver robust hardware and cutting edge software such as remote monitoring and inventory control software so that we partner with you for now and into the future. Kardex offers four main technologies for improving operational efficiency through automating the storage

Hoist Trolleys Provide Safe Load Movement W

hen specifying a hoist for use in industrial applications that demand beam-traversing motion, attention should also be paid to the trolley on to which the hoist hooks.

According to JD Neuhaus (JDN), the world's leading manufacturer of hoist solutions, trolley factors such as carrying capacity, ease of installation, explosion protection and ability to negotiate curves, must all be considered if the application is to be optimised. Three versions are available to facilitate the lateral motion of suspended loads: manual

trolleys (LN) for pushing or pulling by hand; reel chain trolleys (LH) for moving by unwinding the reel chain; and motorised trolleys (LM) powered by an air motor. While the standard industrial series stops at a single 20 tonne trolley, higher capacities

can be achieved with the benefit of 8 wheel and even 16 wheel systems. Additionally, custom designs or utilisation of the monorail series offer traversable load placement for the entire JDN catalogue of capacities up to 100 metric tonnes. Importantly, for suitability in hazardous areas, all JDN trolleys offer explosion protection

to Ex II 2 GD IIA T4/II 3 GD IIB T4 classifications. J.D. Neuhaus Ltd u 01226 722 751 u www.jdngroup.com/uk/home

N

o matter where your application sits in the supply chain, the Hyster® Fortens™ IC forklift truck series offers the all-round benefits needed for efficiency, driver

productivity and a low total cost of ownership. Intelligent IC forklift truck design combined with a range of solutions beyond the

truck and value-added customisation options, provide 360-degree benefits, whatever the application. The Hyster® 2.0-3.5T Fortens™ now features as standard:

• Vinyl Sears Air Suspension Seat • LED lights • Operator password function • Extended warranty (2 years/4000 hours) • Return-to-set tilt when e-hydraulics ordered • Powertrain protection and speed limiter (when DuraMatch™ transmission is ordered)

And it’s not just the latest extra features that make the Hyster® FT a true all-round IC

forklift truck. Customisation options and a range of solutions beyond the truck combine with intelligent truck design to benefit the driver and the application:

Designed for drivers - Hyster® Fortens™ forklift trucks offer operators a comfortable

working environment, helping to maximise productivity during long shifts. Features include ergonomically designed operator compartment, optimal forwards and rear visibility thanks to intelligent mast design and smooth power reversal, avoiding wheel spin.

Intelligent assistance - The FT can be tuned to specific applications and make a real

difference to individual operations. Optional driver assist features such as weighing systems, overload detection and roof detection to limit speed can all help optimise awareness and efficiency.

Low cost of ownership - From cowl to counterweight, the versatile Hyster® Fortens™

forklift truck is packed with extensive features designed to deliver a low cost of ownership and maximum productivity.

Power to perform with low emissions - Select the right power option for your

operation to help optimise efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and cost, and manage emissions. A choice of LPG or diesel is available to suit a wide range of applications and Stage V compliant Kubota or PSI engines will be available from early 2019

All industry solutions – With an extensive range of added and custom solutions such

as models for indoor and outdoor use, a wide range of operator cabins and attachments carefully matched to applications, the Hyster FT can make light work of handling loads in arduous operations to support intense industry applications.
