Enrichment of the mk Profile System
T
wo profile cross-sections with a diameter of 28 mm as well as a small number of form-fitting and stable
connecting elements will soon expand the mk profile system. The new D28 round tube system was developed for lean production purposes to provide more streamlined and economical use of production resources. Almost any design for individual workshop and assembly equipment can be built using only 13 standard components. Whether for supply trolleys, shelves, racks or extensions
for workstations, the easy-to-use D28 round pipe system means that a single person can put together brand new structures or extensions with little effort. Profile machining is not required for the solid and load-bearing construction of standard elements. The D28 round pipe system is compatible with the mk
40 series profiles, offering the possibility to combine square and round cross sections. This combines the advantages of both series, ensuring high stability and versatility as well as weight and cost savings.

OGE Compressors, extends its EO range of scroll compressors. The new ultra-quiet EO 11 produces oil-free compressed air in the 11kW performance
segment and completely eliminates the risk of contamination. What makes this technology stand out is that it operates without oil
lubrication: the aluminium spirals in the compressor chamber interlock but do not touch. The resulting compressed air is pulsation-free and absolutely free of oil.
Flexibility BOGE's control system, focus control 2.0, can regulate up to four EO scroll compressors horizontally with base load switching, thus ensuring efficient control for as many as 16 compressor units. Mark Whitmore, General Manager, states “We understand how important an oil-free compressed air system is for use in applications such as medical technology, pharmaceutical and food processing. We have set ourselves up to react when customer orders come in and can deliver throughout the UK.”

BB has expanded its collaborative automation offering with the launch of its single-arm YuMi robot. The IRB 14050 single-arm YuMi is ABB’s most
agile and compact robot and is designed to easily fit into existing production lines to increase flexibility while working safely alongside people. Weighing less than 10kg, and capable of being mounted from a ceiling, table
and wall, the single-arm YuMi offers increased flexibility for high-mix, low volume production in short cycles. Easy to install, it allows manufacturers to quickly and easily add collaborative applications to their production lines with minimal interruption to existing operations. The single-arm YuMi also features the same intuitive, easy-to-use lead through programming as the dual-arm YuMi, meaning that workers without specialized training can setup and operate the robot. Combining this simplicity with the robot’s deployment flexibility can help manufacturers in many industries offset shortages of skilled workers.

Three ways to wire with addition of lever and push-button terminal blocks
I
nterconnection specialist WAGO introduces push-button and lever-
actuated variants to its TOPJOB S® terminal block family. Integrators can now choose between push-button, lever and push-in connection methods for additional flexibility on DIN rail installations.
The lever-actuated variant, a world first
from WAGO, is equipped with a lever on the field side, and a push-button or operating tool-actuated connection on the factory side. The clamping point on the field side is opened and closed by hand using the lever, allowing installers to tell at a glance which wires in an assembly are terminated. The lever can also be left open, freeing both hands to connect difficult-to-bend conductors with large cross sections.
Versions are available for nominal cross-sections of 2.5 mm2, 6 mm2 and 16 mm2, and in 2- or
3-conductor configurations. The clamping point of the push-button mechanism is opened with any screwdriver or similar operating tool.
Feed-through terminal blocks with push-buttons are available for wire with a cross-section between 0.14 to 25 mm2. The push-button terminal block is available in 2-, 3- or 4-conductor variants, which allow push-in connection of solid, seven strand and ferruled conductors.
Both the push button and lever actuators are orange in colour, making them clearly visible for easy identification. All TOPJOB S rail mounted terminal blocks feature Push-In CAGE CLAMP® spring pressure connection, which is 50
percent quicker to wire compared to screws, and immune to loosening over time. The terminal blocks are also resistant to vibration and overcurrent, and free from maintenance, eliminating the
need to periodically check and tighten loose connections while improving overall reliability. WAGO
