EcoCooling uses natural evaporative cooling methods to cool any area where cooling is required while reducing cooling costs by up to 90%! The units operate as part of a mechanical ventilation
system, supplying cold air to a building while extracting heat. The coolers run in ventilation mode when ambient temperatures are low, then in summer, evaporative cooling is enabled. The natural evaporative cooling effect is dependent on the ambient temperature and humidity. In the UK (hot and dry climate) supply air temperature does not exceed 25C even on the hottest days, making EcoCoolers the ideal option for a wide range of industrial and commercial buildings. A revolutionary 2-speed wall control is supplied as
standard with the evaporative cooler, this is normally connected to a thermostat to give automatic control. There is also a facility to connect to a timer, humidistat and fire alarm contact. An internal relay is also available to drive an external fan. The controller provides an integrated commissioning and maintenance cleaning sequence which provides a fault alarm code. EcoCoolers provide an unparalleled option to cooling
as they reduce carbon emissions by reducing the amount of harmful refrigerants that are released into the environment. Additionally, the EcoCoolers are able to provide cool, clean, fresh air into buildings instead of recirculated air produced by traditional air conditioning unit.
EcoCooling have had experience in many different applications including bakeries, laundries, factory, gyms, warehouses and many more. The equipment can be used to cost effectively spot cool production lines or mezzanine floors or alternatively, blanket cool entire factories or stores which are overheating. Compared to a traditional refrigeration system the
estimated energy savings are expected to be around 90%. A single EcoCooler, rated at 35kW, can show carbon savings of up to 10,000kg per year and cost less than
15p per hour to run, in addition, they are able to consistently keep the temperature at 23C and below year-round in the UK.
