ADVERTORIAL TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION

manufacturing and retail companies is launching a ‘Renovotec rugged printer scrappage scheme’ that allows supply chain users to trade in any used industrial printer, deducting its scrappage value from the price of any new Zebra printer – an effective user discount of up to 30% say Renovotec. Renovotec includes after-sales support with all Zebra printers it sells.

pump calibrator. The product is the first in the industry with the ability to measure pulsation, with a 70-hour battery life; the longest on the market and double the duration of competitive products. There is an estimated 18,000 new cases of breathing or

lung problems a year caused or made worse by work, and an estimated 12,000 deaths from lung diseases linked to exposure at work. It is an employer’s duty to protect the health of employees through health surveillance and exposure monitoring. Air sampling is crucial and Casella’s latest Flow Detective™ is a robust solution allowing air sampling pumps to be calibrated, ensuring the pump has the correct flow, with traceable measurement results.

enovotec, the UK’s fastest growing independent rugged hardware, software and services provider for warehousing and distribution,

For many models this can include preventative remote fault monitoring that identifies and even anticipates printer problems before they arise, slashing downtime and improving productivity by a typical 20% say Renovotec. “The scheme allows supply chain users to leverage their assets by setting the scrappage value of their used industrial printers against the cost of super-productive, more energy- efficient Zebra models” says Renovotec managing director Richard Gilliard. “Zebra’s industrial printers are designed for rugged, often extreme environments. They are built to withstand challenging industrial conditions and can meet high-volume production needs.

Safer Socket Testing from Martindale T

o many, Martindale means socket testing, from the first ever ring main socket tester to today’s comprehensive range of residential and industrial check plugs you can rely on the Martindale to deliver fast and safe socket testing every time. The CP501 Check Plug and BZ101Buzz-It are the UK’s

favourite socket testers designed for easy verification of wall socket wiring. Suitable for use as a first line indicator to identify potentially unsafe installations and wiring faults, socket

testers offer a fast and effective solution when properly specified. Particularly useful as a service tool in identifying potentially unsafe conditions prior to carrying out work on

existing installations or connecting new appliances, they can also be used to identify socket outlets which may require a more detailed inspection as part of periodic inspection and testing.

Human-Machine Interaction Passes SICK’s ‘Safety IQ’ Test at MACH 2018

T

he 2018 MACH Show will be the platform for demonstrating SICK’s UK SafetyIQ concept, the

company’s universal approach to ensuring safe, compliant personnel protection without compromising on machine availability, efficiency and productivity.

SICK’s machinery safety experts will be on hand

on stand H18-421 to discuss SafetyIQ, a full suite of safety products, services and systems underpinned by networking and integration that enables customers to achieve Industry 4.0-ready functional safety in automated production. Safe human-machine collaboration will take

centre stage on SICK’s stand with an Industry 4.0 robot exhibit. Visitors will be able to personally interact with the robot, demonstrating a range of SICK solutions including robot guidance, RFID and 2D LiDAR scanning technologies as well as showing how SICK’s safety light curtain and laser scanning technologies can be successfully integrated with the SICK FlexiSoft safety controller.

“Visitors to the MACH show are the engineers and production managers working right on the front line of human-machine interaction. They need to ensure compliant functional safety for operations such as metal forming and machining where operator safety is always the first priority but where flexibility in production is increasingly demanded,” says Seb Strutt, SICK UK’s machinery safety specialist “As the inventors of the safety light curtain, SICK has led the way in machinery safety for more than 40 years.

SafetyIQ will ensure SICK continues to partner productively with customers, helping them to develop safety concepts they can rely on to meet all relevant regulations, while still achieving cost-efficient solutions that minimise downtime.”

Among the highlights on the SICK stand will be the SICK microScan3 safety laser scanner with recently-added

EtherNet/IPTM and PROFINET compatibility to enable easy integration of safety laser scanners into a safe network. This also facilitates simultaneous field evaluation of up to four fields, instead of the single field offered by standard I/O scanners.

BOGE reveals how to implement industry 4.0- compliant compressors

N

ew white paper reveals how to integrate Industry 4.0- compliant compressed air technology into

manufacturing facilities. Leading compressed air specialist BOGE Compressors has published a new white paper giving manufacturers practical advice on how to easily integrate existing smart compressor technology into their manufacturing facilities. The paper shows how to make the most of the real -

rather than theoretical - value from Industry 4.0 through BOGE’s compressor technology. From standard products with networked features to networked control systems, the paper explains how manufacturers can extend maintenance intervals, use digital technologies to improve service and support capabilities, increase efficiencies and future-proof manufacturing facilities.
