nterroll exhibits its stainless steel synchronous drum motor for belt conveyor systems, with output up to 1.1
kilowatts and high torque up to 100 Nm. Interroll 24V RollerDrive used to build intelligently
controlled conveyor systems divided into zones. Each individual zone is powered only when material is present conveying 600 to 1,800 units p/hr. This achieves energy savings of up to 50% by comparison with continuously running motors. Interroll’s new drum motor platform is completely modular in design, encompassing synchronous and asynchronous technologies. Available first in 80mm- diameter drums, expanding to include the entire range. All motors offer a widened spectrum of speeds with
high standard of hygiene- IP69k compliant. Each motor is modular designed, enabling delivery in the shortest possible time.

products suitable for multiple applications across many industry sectors. Ensuring safety in industrial environments by providing fast electrical isolation for machinery, power supplies, security equipment and HVAC installations, Hylec’s range of IP67-rated AC and DC rotary ISOLATOR control switches have the best price/performance ratio currently available on the UK market. Featuring silver plated alloy contacts for high reliability, they are manufactured from extremely robust polycarbonate which is flame-retardant to UL94V-0 standard. Housings are highly visible, with generous internal dimensions for ease of cable management. Ideal for tough environments, Hylec offers a very wide range of door enclosures in IP65/IK08 rated ABS and
IP66/IK10 rated steel and stainless steel, manufactured from high-quality materials and supplied complete with back plates and mounting brackets.

ABB demonstrates digital credentials at Drives & Controls 2018 - Stand D707
variable speed drives (VSDs) and low voltage electric motors can be used as an integral part of the smart factory. On show will be the ABB AbilityTM Smart Sensor for low voltage electric
A
motors. The low-cost sensor can be attached, without wires, to any low voltage motor and, by measuring key parameters such as heat and vibration, is able to let the operator know in advance of any motor issues. Also on display will be the latest, fully digital VSDs, many of which work with the ground-breaking synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM): a
product that is quieter, more efficient and reliable than its traditional induction motor counterpart. Meanwhile, the latest motion control drives, PLCs and HMIs will feature in a series of live demos for labelling, mixing and material handling machines.

Increasing capacity in an on-demand world E
-commerce continues to provide fast growth opportunities for businesses, but to keep pace with demand, operations
increasingly requires an agile and flexible response. For SportsWear International, it was working space that was causing a bottleneck and had led to the expensive solution of hiring additional off-site premises and splitting the workforce across the two sites. CopriSystems were brought in to install a bespoke on-site 4,000 sq ft extension building, which was completed in under 5 weeks. This allowed the workforce to come back together in one location and with no pillars the space can be easily reconfigured to maximise efficiency depending on the type of demand. CopriSystems is a leading temporary building company with over 27 years experience.

Fulton’s PURE Technology approach achieves world-first vertical steam boiler design
he VSRT is the first steam boiler to emerge from Fulton’s new ‘PURE Technology’ approach, an initiative that’s resulted in a world-first design that is durable, long- lasting and boasts the highest efficiencies and ultra-low NOx emissions as standard. With over 15 patents pending, the VSRT’s spiral-rib heat exchanger is a world first. It attains industry-leading heat transfer rates thanks to its unique spiral design, which achieves low stack temperatures by passing the flue gases through a spiral-wound heat exchanger that is fully immersed in water. Commenting, Fulton’s Leigh Bryan says: “PURE Technology aims to enhance heat
T
transfer, provide class-leading efficiencies, improve steam quality and reduce NOx emissions. “Rather than further-improve products like our J Series to achieve these goals, PURE Technology – the culmination of Fulton’s clean slate approach to design – challenges the industry status quo on conventional boiler design by engineering solutions that are fit-for-purpose and fully-optimised for all applications.”

BB (stand D707) is demonstrating its credentials as a digital champion by showing examples of how established and installed products like
New Nordson EFD Performus X Series
• The Performus X100 features a 0-100 psi (0-7 bar) pressure regulator for applying low- to high- viscosity fluids
• The Performus X15 features a 0-15 psi (0-1 bar) pressure regulator for greater control when dispensing low- viscosity or thin fluids such as solvents.
• The housing acts as a faraday cage for improved EMI/RFI protection
• Chassis connection for grounding to shunt leakage current and enhance system electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection.
• Steady, Timed, and Teach mode of operation.
• Vacuum control keeps thin fluids from dripping between cycles.
