BOULTING GREET DUKE AND DUCHESS AT WIRRAL YOUTH ZONE R
esidents lined the streets of Birkenhead last month to
catch a glimpse of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they officially opened The Hive Youth Zone, a £6 million Youth Zone which supports the area’s 38,900 eight to 19-year-olds. As a patron and supporter of the
new facility, engineering solutions provider, Boulting Ltd had the privilege of meeting Harry and Meghan during one of the couple’s first official engagements of 2019. Developed by national charity
OnSide Youth Zones, The Hive opened its doors in 2017 and is regularly used by over 3,500 young
people aged eight to 19, and up to 25 for those with a disability. Boulting has been supporting The Hive since 2016, pledging a total of £75,000 over a three-year period as part of an engagement and investment programme, which includes financial contributions and career development opportunities. The purpose-built facility
includes a fitness suite, boxing ring, climbing wall, music room, art room, film and media suite and a roof-top football pitch. During the visit, the Duke and
Duchess were treated to performances from vocal group Edge of Seventeen, The Hive’s resident junior dance

SMURFIT KAPPA CONTINUES TO STRENGTHEN ITS PRESENCE IN MEXICO S

a new plant in Tijuana, Mexico, demonstrating its long-term commitment to the country. The new folding carton plant will strengthen
the company’s footprint in the Baja California region and neighbouring Northern Mexico states. The new Tijuana plant, which began
operating last month, uses state-of-the-art technology to produce folding carton packaging solutions including boxes and trays. Diverse folding techniques are used to produce both flat and pre-glued products that meet
customer’s needs in both the supply chain and retail environment. Operating in Mexico for over 40 years, Smurfit
Kappa produces an innovative range of sustainable packaging solutions for sectors including consumer electronics, industrial, medical and food. Speaking at the opening of the new plant,
