• • • LIGHTING & LIGHTING CONTROLS • • • Multi-point dimming

Mark Lewin, chief executive of Zano Controls, said two-way and intermediate, multi-point dimming an LED installation from more than one control point might seem complicated, but in reality, it’s simple

T

o demonstrate, we’re here to help you find the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about multi-point dimming. Multi-point dimming on LED circuits has always

been a challenge. It was once restricted to complicated or expensive lighting control. Flashforward to today and we’ve got a range of

off-the-shelf solutions from Zano Controls, designed to help installers add multi-point control to their LED projects simply and effectively. Whether you’re after a simple to install, retrofit

or three-point dimming solution, or working on a big commercial project with 1-10V fittings or even one that requires multiple rotary controllers and up to 1000W/VA LED, Zano have revolutionised multi- point LED dimming for all scenarios.

What is two-way and

intermediate dimming? Multi-point, or two-way and intermediate dimming enables full dimming control from multiple points on a single circuit. Great for bedrooms, hallways, or open plan kitchen/diners, as well as a whole host of commercial applications.

Three-point LED control Zano’s ZSMARTLED is the first easy fit three-point dimming solution available on the market – providing a simple way to install up to three rotary controllers on a single circuit. ZSMARTLED supports 5-150W/VA LED and connects direct to 3-core and earth wiring, minimising disruption on site.

More than three points? The ZBARLED remote dimming pack on the other hand supports anywhere between 0-300W/VA and 0-1000W/VA LED, but can also dim LV and Tungsten. You can connect up to 32 rotary controllers in parallel to one ZBARLED and for larger than 1000W/VA loads, all you need to do is add an additional ZBARLED to the circuit. When installing the ZBARLED, control can be

made via two different types of push to make retractive switches; the first type being push-to- make only, the second type being a rocker push up and down. Each controller or switch may be connected on existing twin and earth wiring. What’s more, if you’re working with multiple 1-

10V fittings the ZBAR1-10V is suitable for up to 30 single fittings and multiple rotary control points. Simplicity is key with our ZSMARTLED. It has

made it so easy to swap your switches out and put your dimmers on, which hasn’t been possible

before. Similarly, the ZBARLED is our get-out- of-trouble product. With large loads and LED tape, for example, it’s been vital for solving these headaches and offering the most cost-effective solution.
