In terms of larger UAVs, expect greater use of
shielded cables to deliver increased durability and environmental resistance. These larger vehicles are likely to use higher power carrying cables, similar to what might be found in manned aerospace vehicles, enabling extended flight times and heavier payloads.
For humanitarian applications, such as the
distribution of medical supplies, improving the range and payload capacity of UAVs can have a huge impact. With the UAV market poised for significant
growth over the next five years, it’s an exciting time to be working in the sector. Whether for the consumer market, military or specialised
commercial sectors, recent advancements have made UAVs an indispensable tool. Going forward, new updates to existing
technology will provide manufacturers with new use cases for UAVs, as well as fresh challenges and new ways to deliver the best performance possible. Will you be part of the UAV revolution?
