Welcome to the spring issue of… What Next?
It’s an exciting time to be finishing school or college. With the UK holding some of the finest universities in the world and the government committed to three million apprenticeship starts by 2020, school leavers are empowered with more opportunities than ever before.
However, this wealth of opportunity can be quite daunting, which is where we can help!
In this issue we’ll be exploring the wide range of apprenticeships available, including the increasingly popular degree level apprenticeships, which give apprentices the opportunity to start their career training at the same time as attaining a degree. We’ll also be providing essential information on what to consider when choosing a university, as well as advice on studying abroad.
Turn to p.25 to see what’s on at What Career Live? and What University Live? in Birmingham and at our new launch event in Liverpool. Find out more about the employers and universities in attendance and see what’s on at over 40 free seminars and workshops.
At the event, make sure you ask plenty of questions and take advantage of the advice and skills features, which include a CV Clinic, Cyber Security Challenge, Careers Advice Lounge, Mock Assessment Centre, Creative Hub and a STEM Challenge.
