In setting new standards in everything it does, Mercedes-Benz has produced the only range of engine oils it approves for use in its own cars. Developed and extensively tested as part of its own engine research and analysis programmes, Mercedes-Benz Genuine Oils are created using only selected high-grade


base oils and additives. The result is a range of exceptional oils that actually exceed the normally recommended standards for the petrol and diesel engines for which they were created. As a result, mechanical friction is largely eradicated, fuel-efficiency enhanced, emissions reduced thanks to low-ash levels and engine life extended.

Reliable in any season


During extreme cold and warm weather testing of new models in special climatic wind tunnels, Mercedes-Benz evaluates not only vehicles, but oils for use in a variety of climates. Oil must not become too viscous or thick in cold weather while evaporation loss needs to be minimised when temperatures soar. Mercedes-Benz Genuine Oils have been shown to operate effectively in temperatures ranging from -30 degrees to +260 degrees Celsius.
