Very much at home spreading the festive cheer
Northamptonshire-based housing association, Greatwell Homes, and Hatton Rotary kept families entertained for hours delivering some festive cheer on the Wellingborough estate. On December 12, a free event was held at the Kingsway Centre for
local residents to take part in festive activities, indulge in delicious treats and beverages and meet Santa Claus himself. T e events were led by Made With Many which included colouring
and making clay sculptures and Christmas tree decorations. T e chil- dren could also have their faces painted by local face painter, Brushed Beauties Face Paint Co., and received a goodie bag. During their journey around the Kingsway estate, the Hatton
Rotary and Santa Claus made a couple of visits to the Kingsway Centre to say hello to the families attending the event. Cara Evans attended the event with her two daughters. She said:
“We watched Santa in his sleigh and my girls loved seeing Elsa as well. T ere was lots to do in the Kingsway Centre for all ages and it kept them entertained for hours. “T e face painter was amazing and they loved decorating their
own baubles. We would defi nitely go again.” Greatwell Homes, one of the largest housing associations in
Northamptonshire, owns and manages more than 5,200 homes in Wellingborough, Kettering, Raunds and Northampton. As a community-based housing provider, it is focused on creating
safe, secure and sustainable homes for people, aiming to do this by shaping great communities and delivering services that work well for local people. Lizzie Brown, community involvement manager at Greatwell
Homes, added: “It was a really lovely event. “T is was the fi rst time we have done an event like this on the
Kingsway and we’re so glad to see around 100 people from the estate attending. I’d like to thank Hatton Rotary and Made With Many who helped bring this event together and created some special festive cheer to the estate.” Additional thanks go to Greggs Wellingborough for supplying
some baked goods and for Mobysoft for its £500 donation towards the Christmas party.
