Step out for charity walk – it’s the law!
Family Law Group and Woodfines Solicitors have launched the fi rst Milton Keynes Legal Walk. T e event will take place on T ursday June 12 starting at the Milton Keynes County Court, and ending up at T e Slug and Lettuce, and businesses across Milton Keynes are invited to take part.
Sam Redsull, organiser of the walk and Head of
Marketing at Family Law Group said: “I was aware of some of our other offi ces taking part in various Legal Walks up and down the country and was keen to get our Milton Keynes offi ce involved, and was genuinely quite surprised to discover that Milton Keynes had never hosted a walk, so decided to look into what was involved in organising one myself.” Looking to partner with another law fi rm, and having
worked together previously, Sam approached Kerry Ransby, Events Manager at Woodfi nes Solicitors whose offi ce is located nearby. Kerry said: “I was so pleased when Sam got in touch
as having put teams together for both the Bedford and Cambridge walks in previous years, it was a great opportunity to get our Milton Keynes team involved, and being able to work with Sam again made it seem like the perfect collaboration!”
Why should people get involved? Legal Walks take place to raise valuable funds for the Access to Justice Foundation, a charity that raises money to ensure everybody has access to legal representation by increasing funding for free legal advice across the UK. As well as raising money for this cause, the walk is a
great opportunity to bring the business community of Milton Keynes together and everyone is encouraged to get involved and join in this fi rst walk (which is less than 5k). T e full route can be found on the registration page. At the end of the walk, all participants will be rewarded
with a well-earned drink, courtesy of sponsors 3 DJB, All T ings Business, DNA Legal, PHMG and Stratos. T anks and credit to Stratos for creating the poster.
