Throughout their journey as a DJ and artist, Dana has encountered numerous memorable moments and highlights. Pereira in Colombia and Tbilisi in Georgia hold a special place in their heart, as they have received overwhelming warmth and support from these cities. Antwerp, where their musical career took its first steps, is another location that holds a wealth of memories. Additionally, their sets at HÖR Berlin provided them with a massive international platform, opening doors and enabling them to showcase their talent to a global audience.
“I have a few cities that always brought me the brightest memories and the craziest parties. Somehow from the very beginning I always got such a warm welcome there and ended up making friends there too. It’s Pereira in Colombia and Tbilisi in Georgia. Besides having a big fanbase and friends there, I also feel comfortable and at home in those cities. It’s a really special feeling to know that somewhere on the other side of the world you have some kind of a “second hometown”. Antwerp also holds a big amount of my highlights. It’s a place where my musical career began, a place where I met people that played a crucial
role in my artistic development. Another
highlight that also holds a huge value for me, is of course my sets at HÖR Berlin. That platform opened so many doors for me and gave me the possibility to showcase what I do for such a huge international audience. I’m forever grateful for that.”
As Dana Montana looks towards the future, their path is a journey of musical exploration, exciting collaborations, and personal achievements. With their boundless talent and creativity, they are currently
engrossed in the creation of fresh,
innovative music, eagerly preparing for the release of their debut EP in the upcoming summer season.
“Right now I’m working a lot on creating new music. I’m still learning so much, but working on my debut EP brought me a lot of improvement. I’m planning on releasing it this summer, so I’m excited! Besides that, I recently got myself vinyl turntables, to learn to DJ with vinyl. I think in the future I would like to play a vinyl set now and then. Most of the music I play comes from the 90s and 00s, so it makes a lot of sense to me to collect it on vinyl and also discover new music that way. Also creating a collective with Lovegroove is on my to-do list for
this summer.
During the past year I got very close with 2 really like-minded artists from Antwerp - Violently Happy and DJ Paco. It brings me lots of joy and inspiration to think of us as a team, as we really have the same vibe when it comes to music and vibe we want to bring.”
