Memory Care
When it comes to Reflections Memory Care, our team knows families need more than one option. People experience cognitive change or dementia for many varied reasons, not just Alzheimer’s Disease.
Our Reflections program embraces the Montessori approach to care, programming, and day-to-day living.
•
The Montessori Method originally developed for children by Maria Montessori, integrates the principles of rehabilitation and education with the following principles:
• Individual’s independence is fostered using consistent roles and routines.
• Promoting the freedom of choice to increase the individual’s self-esteem and independence.
• T e environment is matched to the individual’s needs and clutter-free.
• Activities and materials are meaningful and familiar to the individual.
• Activities are shown, one step at a time to help the individual understand and repeat the step, using procedural memory.
• Activities always promote success.
