Part of a Designer’s job is keeping up with what is trending to provide the best options for their clients. Here are 10 trends to look out for in 2024. Primary bathrooms are increasingly becoming more of a spa-type experience with integrated, customizable bathing and showering spaces. Everything from hydrotherapies, adjustable shower sprays, and steam combined with technology create an experience unique to each individual.

Blues, greens and wood tones in kitchen cabinetry are surpassing white as a top of mind color for new builds and renovations.
Mixed metals and media are finding their place into plumbing fixtures. Brizo Litze collection has options for faucets in black with gold and their Frank Lloyd Wright collection is not only cleverly reflecting his iconic Falling Water house, it combines wood and metal for a unique, earthy & spa-like feel.

If you aren’t familiar with Japandi, once you are aware of it you will begin to see it everywhere. It is an East Meets West aesthetic, a combination of Japanese and Scandinavian influences. Modern without being sterile, clean & simple, focused on natural elements, comfort and sustainability.

The Modern Farmhouse aesthetic first brought to us by Joanna Gaines is evolving and maturing into a more complex form than its initial shiplap, black and white predecessor. We are now seeing a greater range of textures and deep colors pulled through adding more drama and character, especially in the form of cabinetry.
A subtle, but significant change is having crown moldings and ceilings painted the same color as walls. This is particularly effective in spaces where you want to subtly highlight lines and create drama.

A welcome sight for people who love french door refrigerators but have been limited to smaller scale, 48” wide french door refrigerators are making their way into the market.
Natural stone is still a top seller for surfaces, as is manufactured stone (i.e. quartz). As far as color, we are seeing the majority of surfaces trending on the lighter side but when dark, are more solid with little to no movement in it. We are additionally seeing some pretty amazing statement marble installations.

Large format splashes, both in kitchens and bathrooms, are really big right now. It provides quite a dramatic and elevated look with no grout lines and makes it easier to clean.
The outdoor living emphasis that spiked during covid has continued its momentum. Clients are investing into their outdoor spaces and requesting specialty items such as pizza ovens and smokers in addition to the standard grill, sink and refrigerator.
