THE inspired idea of teenage soprano Grace O'Malley, a concert to raise funds for research into childhood cancers was a resounding success. A capacity audience at


Padiham Unitarian Church was treated to musical talent of the highest order, all from young musicians. Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School Jazz group opened the evening; followed by Read Junior School Choir. Three Tanzanian girls from


the Bethany Project sang a capella, much to the thrill of the audience. The first half concluded with the star of the evening, Grace O'Malley, thrilling the gathering and introducing an amazing'young lady, Molly Smith, who gave a most emotional account of cancer treatment she has undergone and sang a number from Hairspray. During the second half
