great fund-raising The Ribble Valley and White Rose


Ladies fund-raising group was present­ ed with the Cancer Research UK Flame of Hope Award at the Russell Hotel in London for the category Fund-raising ' in the Community. The group was started in the Ribble Valley more than a decade ago by Karen Weav­ ing when she and her husband Mal­ colm ran The Stirk House Hotel, at Gisburn. It was later e.\panded to include Yorkshire ladies when the Weavings took over the Rendezvous hotel on the outskirts of Skipton. The ladies were nominated for
