- ters and Senior Age Group Championships at the Toll- cross Leisure Centre in Glasgow. ■ -

vidual Medley, beating former Olympic swimmer Nick Gillingham, and it was gold again in the 50m Back- stroke and 100m Backstroke - while his time for the j
- 100m Backstroke broke the British record.' - He almost added the 50m Butterfly to his haul of ■
golds but, in the most exciting finish of the Champion ships, he came second to David Chaney, an former Brit ish record holder, who pipped him at the finish'by OT of a second.' In third place, 0.02 of a second behind Peter, again >

Swimming Club, trains with them and also with the Clit heroe Masters, under the guidance of Julie Watson and . Dean Sumner. He also bases his land training at Hicks Health Club:
under the supervision of Chris Templeman. ^ Over the past 12 months, Jones has dedicated niuch
, of his spare time into training, and he manages to swim and attend the gym for at least seven sessions per week. < _ Obviously all the effort is liow'paying off, and Jones
is now looking forward to competing in August at the World Masters Championships in Gothenberg,'Swe- v den.
