ORGANISERS of the Ribble Valley Vintage Club’s annual rally have reluctantly can celled this year's event due to the recent poor weather. Previously held just off the
A59 Sawley Brow, this year the rally had moved to a new site in Fence and was due to take place this coming weekend. However, with six days to go
organisers were forced to take the difficult decision to cancel the event. Mr Rod Gregg, one of the
main organisers, said: “There is no way the field will be ready in time. The grass has not been mown and the owner is on holiday. The field is so
wet now that mowing is impos sible and I do not see it drying out in time.” The event was due to be
held in a field off Cuckstool Lane, Fence, just over the Reedley Hallows parish boundary on Saturday and Sunday. Once the decision to cancel
