Special party to bid farewell to toddlers

DUNSOP BRIDGE Toddler Group wished its youngsters well on their transition to Thor- neyholme RC Primary School at a recent

farewell party. Last Wednesday’s usual

toddler group session was extended and after com pleting the art entries for the Hodder Valley Show, the group went to the vil lage play area for a picnic lunch, races and presenta tion of good luck cards to the leavers. Flowers were also pre

sented showing the group’s appreciation to the par ents of the children who are leaving and thanking them for their organisa tional help and support in recent years. The toddler group is run

by the parents of pre school children and meets on a weekly basis on a Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11-30 a.m. in the village hall. The session comprises

free play, which can incor porate a walk and an art or craft activity and give children and parents the opportunity to develop their social skills.

L If you are interested in finding out more about the group contact Rachel Carr

on 01200 448228. Our picture shows toddlers attending their last ses sion at the toddler group.

Club’s special meal surprise

MEMBERS of Ribblesdale Camera Club attending the club’s “opening sup per” had a surprise when they walked into the dining room at The Moorcock Inn at Waddington. The whole 80 or more prints from the

Lancashire and Cheshire Union’s 2004 black and white print folio were exhibited

around the room. This made for a lively everting with

good food coupled with discussion about

the displayed prints. Next week, member Stephen Robin

son, who had a well received print in the folio, will be talking about focal lengths, depth of field and apertures and their effect on the final photograph. The meeting will be held at 7-30 p.m. in the club’s Ribble Lane, Chatburn, clu-
