the Ribble Valley entered into the spirit of the occasion, many of the pupils turning up for school dressed in red, white and blue. Even mother and tod­


dler groups, like Busy Bees, of Grindleton, rev­ elled in jubilee fun. The Grindleton group had a bouncy castle, music, games and a picnic. There were several


stalls to browse round: Goods on sale included books, plants,-pottery, and cakes. There were also inflatables, an indoor paintball gun, train rides and all-day entertainment for chib dren. On Sunday the spon­


sored sports day took place, starting with a walk with young and old putting their best feet forward. Field events, a donkey derby and spon­ sored swim followed. Monday's focus was a


street party.1950s-style with prizes awarded for best outfits. . More than 100 people


turned out at Church Meadow, the home ground of Ribblesdale Wanderers CC, to cele­ brate the Queen's Golden Jubilee with a street party. Local residents and


club members joined the festivities, which includ-
