buying a used car at least, to have a legally-binding contract confirming that all major components are in good working orderand confirm­ ing that the car has been serviced in line with the manufacturer’s rec­ ommendations and at a bona fide garage. And, perhaps most impor­ tantly o f all, confirming that the person who takes your money is in fact the owner. ' Nor is this merely about buy- ing.Think how much easier such a


paperwork, it's time to go to work. If you’re a buyer, you just ask the person who’s selling to you to complete a simple form at the point of sale indicating which of the car’s major parts are in Good Working Order (GWO). If you're the seller, then of course you do it
