PUPILS at Whalley CE Primary

School piped up as bold as brass when music and education agency Amadeus came to the school to give

some lessons. A demonstration in playing the trum

pet, comet, tenor horn and trombone inspired some of the schoolchildren to take up the brass instruments. Now the Halfax-based agency is to con tinue to provide tuition for small groups of pupils at the school, and it is hoped that

along with the current clarinet and recorder lessons the school will soon have increased the numbers of children partic- pating in performances and production, as

well as encouraging them to develop a long-term interest in music.
