Big campaign by police on summer drink-driving
A CAMPAIGN to crack down on drink-driving on the Ribble Valley’s roads will be launched by
Lancashire Constabulary on Tuesday. Accident Prevention Officer Insp. Peter Stas warned
that drink-driving is a year-long problem and the new campaign will warn drivers about the summertime danger. He said: “Traditionally, it is thought most people who

His talks with the 12 to 13 year-olds inspired them to help the charity. Activities including spon sored events, baking days and special quizzes were organised by the children, and most of the money was raised from other children in the school. At an assembly on Mon
day, the children performed a drama and were present ed with a piece of batik art on the Holy Family, creat ed by the Indian people they helped. Each child was presented a tiny cruci fix made in the village.
