THE new rose queen at St Paul’s Church, Low Moor, Nicola Millard (12), played a big part in the recent family service. Not only was she the centre of attraction when she was crowned by Clilh-

eroe Mayoress Mrs Maureen Holt, but she then played a clarinet accompani ment to one o f the hymns and finally, like all good queens, she took part in an official opening. Along with retiring rose queen Rachel Child (12), she officially opened a

new path which has been constructed from the church to the parish hall. During the service a group of young musicians — Kathryn Booth (1-1) and.

Catherine Grcatorcx (11) on cello, Rachel Nicholson (10) on piano, Grace Lawton (10) on violin and Knly Sandhani (10) on flute — played for.the congregation.
