Davies knocked a cyclist off his bike at the Chat- burn Road roundabout in Clitheroe and the cyclist received bruising to his
left leg. Davies said he was driv
ing at around 20 m.p.h. when approaching the roundabout. “I had to give way. I thought there was no need to slow down,” he
said. In mitigation, Davies
explained that the cyclist had been wearing dark green clothing, but did have lights on his bike. He said: “Unfortunately I did not see the cyclist.”
