for all ages, including volley ball, table-tennis, skittles,
carpet bowls, pillow bashing, archery and a huge bouncing

selves in the sun. Street market The annual street market in
Sabden is set to go ahead as usual on September -1th, when there will be about 100 stalls
including some manned b> charities and village organisa tions. There will also be chil d ren ’ s amusements and attractions.

community scheme, in con
junction with the Kibble \al_ lev Council’s summer activity scheme, ran a one-day soccer school in Sabden. It was certainly popular,
with 3S young players taking part and learning new skills and tactics.
F.ach received a certificate and badge and 1-1- vear-old Lee Skellcrn, of Weslcv Street, was judged the best overall player of the dav and presented with a signed Burnley FC pennant. Also overseeing the soccer
