We need to replace one Bi-lingual Business Development Officer who will be working under the direction of a Team Leader and will be responsible for raising awareness amongst East Lancashire Minority Ethnic Communities of opportunities available to unemployed people, those seeking self- employment, the small business sector and women’s groups who wish to start


their own businesses.


The position requires a thorough knowledge of the demographic make-up of East Lancashire Towns and a high level of understanding of local cultures. Excellent communication skills are required, and the ability to communicate in a relevant Asian Language is desirable. Previous business experience would


also be an advantage.

We require a Business Projects Officer who, working under the direction of the Business Research and Projects Manager, will be responsible for the development of projects in accordance with ELTEC objectives.


Working with the Business Research and Projects Team, you will develop projects to further ELTEC’s objectives, assisting with the preparation of reports, submission and funding issues as required.


The position requires applicants of Graduate level or equivalent with quantative skills and experience of working as a member of a team. You will be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and report writing experience. A knowledge of business methodology and the collection and collation of information would be an advantage.


The position will be full time and on a temporary contract of initially 12 months, to be reviewed.
