satin gown with a niched waist and a short-sleeved lilte d bodice with a cut-away daisy design. Her short veil, trimmed with beaded pearls, was held in place by a headdress of white satin roses. She carried a bouquet o f pink bridal roses, pink spray carnations, alstro- meria, gypsophila, ivy and eucalyptus leaves. 'M rs Ann Knowles, the b r id e ’s siste r , and Miss


Lauren Knowles, the bride’s niece, were in attendance. Mrs Knowles wore a jade satin ballerina-length dress


with a dropped waist and bow at the back. Her head­ dress was a comb of fresh Rowers. She carried a bou­ quet of pink bridal roses, spray carnations, alstromeria and gypsophila. Miss Knowles had a ballerina-length dress of pastel green and while striped satin, with a taffeta waterfall back featuring a bow and white cum­ merbund. She wore a circlet of fresh flowers and car­ ried a basket of pink bridal roses, spray carnations,

FirmBase is brought to you by Fast Lancashire Training and Enterprise Council, which is helping to develop the business of East Lancashire.


To qualify for entry into the FirmBasc scheme, the main requirements arc that you must have been unemployed for at least the last six weeks, be between the ages of 18 and 65, and provide evidence that you have enough money to fund your business plan. You should also be prepared to commit at least 36 hours a week to your business and agree to take part in suitable training courses. (You cannot apply if you have already started trading, or the business address is located outside the boroughs of East Lancashire).
