THE “Christmas Star” will be shining brightly at Trinity Methodist Church. Clitheroe, a week on Saturday, when the North Lancashire Methodist Dis­ trict .is staging a bumper musical event. There will.be a 130-


s trong choir and an orchestra of *10, with about


a third of all those taking p a r t e o in i n g f r o in


Clitheroe. The concert, entitled Christmas Star," marks


the beginning of the fes­ tive season and is the third of its kind to take place in Clitheroe. Musicians are gathering


from many parts of Lanca­ shire and elsewhere and


choirs from Morecainbe, C leveleys, St Amies, Rishton,' Wilpshire and Burnley are involved. Many young people are taking part in both the choir and orchestra. Tlie final rehearsal will
