M I S E R A B L E , r a i n y weather on Sunday after noon failed to dampen the spirits of the Rimington and District Gardening Club members as they staged their late summer flower and vegetable show at the Memorial Institute. A colourful array of pro
duce filled the room and club chairman Mrs Susan Gravcston welcomed com petitors and visitors. She in t ro d u c e d M r John Knapp, parish councillor and s e c re ta ry of th e - Memorial Institute Man agement Committee, who declared the show open. He presented trophies
and prizes to the winners and was thanked by presi dent Mrs P. Townsend. Exhibits were judged by Mr D. Burney (flowers tind vegetables), Mrs C. Redmayne (floral art) and Mrs R. Parnaby (confec tionery and wine). Raffle winners were Mr
