The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the iwers conferred tty article 14 ol the Sheep Scab Order 1986 (a), lereby makes the following special Order:-


TITLE, COMMENCEMENT, DURATION AND INTERPRETATION:


1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Sheep Scab (Infected Area) (No. 2) Special Order 1989, shall come into force on 24th September, and shall cease to have effect on 5th November, 1989.


(2) In the order, 'the principal Order’ means the Sheep Scab Order 1986 as amended by the Sheep Scab (Amend­ ment) Order 1987 (b).


DECURATION OF INFECTED AREA:


2. The area described in the Schedule to this Order is hereby declared to be an infected area for the purposes of the Animal Health Act 1981 (c) and part IV of the principal Order.


APPLICATION:


The provisions of Part IV of the principal Order shall apply in the infected area declared by this Order save that in article 17 (6) after sub-paragraph (c) shall be added the following sub-paragraph:-


"(d) In the case of sheep which come from an area designated by an Order made under Section 1 of the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 (as a result of which Order the move­ ment of those sheep from that area is'conditional upon them being-identified in an approved manner as ineligible for slaughter) direct to such premises as are specified in the licence and in accordance with any conditions subject to which the licence is issued."
