Clitheroe Royal British Legion.

■ Next day, a delighted Mr Barrie Stevens, presi dent of Clitheroe Chamber of Trade, said: “All the hard work paid off with a very successful evening for all concerned. There were many favourable comments and it was undoubtedly the best one so far.”

Dickens of a night at Whalley
IT was a Dickens, of an evening for Whalley’s second annual Mr Pick wick night on Thurs day . . . and everyone’s great expectations were not disappointed! King Street took a step
back in time for the event, organised by Whalley Lions and members of the Chamber of Trade as many people came along in Dickensian costume.
