Display attracts teenage readers

disappointment at the low turn-out of young people, but added that overall the library's youth week in the Kibble Valley had been a great success. The aim was to attract

more teenagers to the lib rary and at the end of a week in which staff had taken a mobile display of books to all secondary schools and youth clubs in the Kibble Valley, it was agreed that interest had been high. A book list prejjared by

librai*y staff as being par t icular ly suitable for teenagers was distributed throughout the schools. On Saturday, youth

week drew to a close with the library e.xhibition van j)arked in Church Walk throughout the day. Sev eral officers from the Lan cashire Constabulary motor cycle team dis()hiy- cd their machines adja cent to the van and ans- were(l (piestions about the cycles and their life in the traffic support unit.
